Our Leadership
An international development specialist by training, passion, and profession, with two decades of experience in development cooperation delivery, program management, program planning & implementation, evaluation, gender, fundraising and organizational development. She continuously blends her experience in development cooperation with her work in education. She is passionate about SDG 4 and continuously seeks avenues of contributing to equitable quality education and lifelong learning. She enjoys strategy development and conceptualizing projects that respond to real life needs.
Mrs. Esther Stephens works as a volunteer for CEID /works as a Board member for CEID. She is an educationist with a first degree in Educational Foundations, an MA in Peace and Development Studies, and is currently pursuing an MPhil in Guidance and Counseling, all from the University of Cape Coast. With over 20 years of experience in her field, she has initiated several projects among young adults such as exchange programmes, established of school clubs, undertaken initiatives such as the production of school magazines, to mention but a few.
A founding Board Member, a Research Development Officer and the coordinator of the Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Services Team in the University of Ghana. In her current role, she serves as a liaison between academia and industry to foster stronger research collaborations between the two sectors. She facilitates activities that enhance the transfer of technology from academia to targeted beneficiaries. With over 14 years’ experience working as a capacity and research development officer in public and private sector institutions. A key strength is the ease with she builds partnerships, her affability and the depth of her knowledge.
An astute Higher Education Administrator, Communications Professional and an Author. She has worked with the non-profit and private sectors, as a communications specialist on governance projects, designing and implementing communication strategies for these organizations and their clients. Ms Songsore is passionate about youth development and mentors many young people in her work community and social circles, and this reflects in her writings. Pascaline the Author of Everyday Values for Sunday School Children, a collection of 10 short stories on 10 values. In 2021, she outdoored her latest book, Letters to Nnaa Naama , a non-fictional book, that explores some socio-political issues in Ghana and proposes how Ghanaians can contribute to making Ghana a prosperous nation. She is also working on an animation series on values for Children.
Our Strategic Focus
Inequalities in education is multifaceted, manifesting in different layers. Many students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds often are unable to find effective support systems that facilitate their stay on campus through the duration of their programs
Statistics show that Ghana has a youth unemployment rate of 12% and over 50% underemployment. CEID seeks to sharpen the employability and problem-solving skills of students graduates, preparing them for the job market
CEID works with young men and young ladies through consultation and engagement of influential groups on gender and equality related issues. CEID continuously works at investigating and finding solutions to inequalities in the higher education space among other initiatives
One of the strategic focuses of CEID is to mentor and develop talent through leadership seminars and other competency development programs. This drive aims to help shape and start off young leaders through the experiences of key players in industry
CEID strives to bring capacity and skills development to the doorstep of corporate, non-profits, and private sector organizations. We work with organizations to tailor training solutions in ways that are context relevant for institutional capacity
